Located between 21st Street and 26th Street in central Sioux Falls, this park is nestled in the middle of a quiet neighborhood, outlined by endearing historical homes on all four sides.
McKennan Park is a great setting for activities during the summer months. Pack a picnic and Visit the bandshell to enjoy concerts, plays and festivals. The kiddie wading pool is also a popular spot where kids can enjoy the dolphin slide, toy turtle and spray fountain. And when it is time to dry off, send the kids out to play on the playground. The adults can also play, here at McKennan park on one of the 8 tennis courts.
One of the other notable areas in McKennan Park are the Sunken Gardens. With the mature elm trees and luscious flowers and greenery, it is no wonder many brides choose to make the Sunken Gardens the perfect location for their weddings.
